Week Notes #8

one

I’m writing this a couple of days later than the other posts (Tuesday instead of Sunday) and it’s truly a struggle to remember anything memorable from last week. Hmm.

two

I saw Parasite for the second time on Sunday and was happy to see it win at the Oscars. Lots of small little things I noticed the second time around.

three

In an effort to do new things without leaving the two-mile bubble I live in in London I had dinner at Monohon Ramen on Thursday evening, and went to Modern Art gallery on Saturday. 6.5/10 for both things.

four

Working in weekly sprints in means the entire weeks builds up to the client presentation – usually a Thursday or Friday. On my current project it’s a Monday, which means I get to spend the whole weekend worrying about how it will go.

five

On Saturday signed up for the British Library reading rooms, it was the first time I had ever been inside the building, and it was heaving, but might be a good place to go sometimes to work and/or read.

six

I got up early on Wednesday morning and walked around Victoria Park in a big loop back to my house.

It was a good reminder how necessary it is to make the small effort to break my routine – even if it’s just as simple as a walk or a coffee – time slows down, just a little.

seven

I got electrocuted turning on the kettle on Sunday evening, then had a nice chat with Lee in Canada immediately afterwards. That’s it, that’s the week.
