Two and a half hour train from Budapest for 11 euros. Slavín war memorial, Bratislava Castle and Old Town. Matsu Premium Tea & Coffee, Ramen Kazu, and beer at Výčap u Ernőho.

Vienna, Austria

An hour on the train from Bratislava. Giant Ferris Wheel and hot dog. Natural History Museum and Pinnoy Food at Hotel am Brillantengrund. Cafe Central, St Stephen’s Cathedral, a half hour Uber journey to brutalist Wotruba Church. The gardens at Belvedere Palace, Museum of Art History, Mochi Ramen Bar.

Prague, Czech Republic

4.5 hours on the train from Vienna Central Station. Onesip Coffee, Prague Castle and dinner at Kuchyň. Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock, statue of Franz Kafka, the Spanish Synagogue, Charles Bridge, and Havlicek Gardens. Flight back to London Stansted.
